A Promise to Peru, Inc. is a nonprofit tax exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Please help our cause, either by donating online via paypal or make checks payable to A Promise to Peru, Inc. Thank You!

A Promise to Peru, Inc.’s goal is to maintain the highest standard for financial responsibility. 97% of all donations go directly to providing eye care and medical care for patients living in extreme poverty, and 3% goes towards administrative costs. All of our staff are volunteers. A Promise to Peru, Inc. is committed to spending your money in a highly productive, efficient way.

How will my donation be used?
Your donation will directly support medical and eye care for patients living in extreme poverty in developing countries. The World Health Organization estimates 39 million people are blind and 246 million have severe visual impairment. 80% of all blindness is preventable or curable, and your generosity will provide preventive and sight-restoring eye care to patients in South America who would otherwise remain or become blind because they are unable to access or afford quality eye care. A Promise to Peru, Inc. provides the cataract surgery, eye care, eyeglasses and medical care all free of charge.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, we are a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income taxation under IRC 501(C)3. You will receive a receipt for your tax records.

Can I dedicate my donation to someone?

Please also consider purchasing a painting and/or postcard from international artist Julia Kokoshari.   30% of the proceeds will go to A Promise To Peru Inc. Please click here for further details.

Julia Kokoshari is a professional multi-disciplinary artist. At an early age she expressed her talents through painting, music, writing and foreign languages. She has opened several exhibitions in Europe and also here in the U.S. Admirers appreciate her unique way of expressing an idea, concept and theme and how vivid and graded color effects bring completion of purposes. She is also an international social worker/psychologist with a highly qualitative work experience with different social groups, governmental and non-profit bodies.

Dr. Coritsidis & Dr. Messina introduced her to A Promise to Peru’s mission and work. Wanting to make a personal contribution and resonate a more colorful hope to the indigent population, she decided to utilize her paintings as means to support the mission and the great endeavors of doctors from all over the U.S through the Foundation ‘A Promise to Peru’ by donating 30% of the proceeds to the non profit organization. Julia has researched and excavated deeper into the Southern America’s cultures, traditions, believes, history and lack of medical help. You can view Julia’s beautiful and colorful paintings on her website juliakokoshari.com.
